To request a quote, the customer must send their equipment list specifying renting dates to verify availability. Once checked the availability, a quote will be sent with the deposit to be paid, pick-up and return times. In order to make a valid reservation the user must sign the contract accepting these services.
The creation of a quote (either requested through our website or to our staff via email) in no case means the reservation of the equipment if it is not specified by ACLAM and it is accepted by the customer in writing. Quotes have a 15-day validity since the date of issue.
If the rented equipment will be used outside the nation the customer will have to stipulate it in the observations section of the quote (the cost of insurance may not be included outside the national territory).
1.2. PICK UPS
The equipment will be picked up at our headquarters in Consell de Cent 205, 08011 Barcelona, within the pick up appointment (if not otherwise agreed in writing).
At the time of pick-up (specified in the reservation) it will be necessary to identify yourself with a valid ID card or passport and make the payment of the rental, the deposit and the insurance subscription previously agreed. All payments will be made by credit card or bank transfer (sufficiently in advance to be shown in the account), only in particular cases previously agreed, these payments can be made in cash.
In the event that the collection of the equipment is made by a person not specified in the reservation, the hirer must inform ACLAM by e-mail. Likewise, this person must identify themselves to the ACLAM staff. The equipment is checked and set up by our team and the hirer is required to check the equipment at the time of collection. It will be the hirer's responsibility not to carry out this check.
No claim will be accepted after the departure of the equipment from our facilities, signed the delivery note and the corresponding contract. ACLAM is not responsible for any external incident that may affect the result of the final work.
1.3. EQUIPMENT DELIVERY
Shipping costs are not included in the equipment rates.
To request the equipment to be shipped, please consult the specific conditions by sending an e-mail to email@example.com.
In case of shipment, the payment of the rental and the agreed deposit must be made by bank transfer (cash deposit will not be accepted) with a sufficient margin of days (prior to the collection of the material) so that ACLAM can verify this transfer.
It is the customer's responsibility to check the equipment received within the first hour after reception of the package (time marked by Nova's delivery note). Any incident or complaint must be notified by telephone and in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org. Out of this period it will be considered that the customer accepts the equipment and considers it to be in perfect working order.
When returning the equipment, the customer must use the box or suitcase delivered by ACLAM, perfectly closed and padlocked (with the same combination given by ACLAM). If the customer does not do so, they will lose any type of shipping insurance coverage on the equipment.
1.4. EQUIPMENT RETURN
The return of the equipment will be made at the time agreed on the packing list. ACLAM reserves the right to charge up to one extra day's rent in case the equipment is returned after the agreed time. The HIRER shall be responsible for the payment of compensation (damages to third parties, other customers, etc. and possible loss of profits) if the equipment is not returned on the agreed day.
The HIRER undertakes to deliver the equipment in the same conditions as it was collected. Otherwise, the company may charge the cleaning costs incurred.
At the time of return the deposit will be refunded 100% provided that all the equipment described in the corresponding packing list is in perfect condition. ACLAM reserves the right to refund the deposit up to 72 working hours after the return of the equipment.
Once ACLAM has made the return of the deposit it may take between 1 and 10 days to be returned by the bank, so ACLAM is exempt from any responsibility.
Any risk that may affect the equipment, accessories or consumables will be the responsibility of the HIRER at the time of return.
2.1. SPACES RESERVATION
To make effective a reservation of any of the spaces owned by ACLAM it is necessary to send a written consent to email@example.com and this must be answered and confirmed by ACLAM by the same means.
The equipment included in the rental will be specified via e-mail by the ACLAM team to the renter. The equipment rented separately will have a 25% discount. Technical assistance by ACLAM staff will not be included in any case.
Electricity and water consumption may be charged separately.
2.2. PREMISES ENTRY
At the time of entry into any of the rented spaces, payment of the rent and the previously agreed deposit must be made, either by credit card or bank transfer (sufficiently in advance to be reflected in the account).
At the time of entry into the spaces (times and dates specified in the reservation), the hirer can check the condition of the place. Any problem or damage must be reported to the ACLAM team up to one hour after entering the space. After that time, any damage caused to the facilities will be the responsibility of the renter.
2.3. RULES OF THE PREMISES
The rental includes the use of the set and other spaces such as kitchen, bathroom or dressing rooms.
It is forbidden to smoke in all spaces or use any item that may cause smoke inside the facilities unless previously agreed.
In case of using the cyclorama, it will always be necessary to use protection (provided by ACLAM) in order to step on the described area. This area and the curve of the cyclorama are excluded from the insurance, so any damage caused may result in an economic penalty corresponding to the total amount of the repair.
The premises are intended for photographic or video use and under no circumstances may they be used for other activities without prior agreement.
Any damage caused in the spaces themselves or elements contained therein during the rental of the facility, will be the responsibility of the hirer.
2.4. PREMISES EXIT
Once the rental period specified in the reservation is over, any time beyond this time will be charged as and hour of overtime.
Once the spaces have been vacated ACLAM reserves up to 24 working hours after the departure time to check the rented spaces and equipment and, if everything is in the same condition as when it was handed over, the deposit will be refunded.
Only in the event of damage, breakdown or theft, our insurance covers the risk of the rented equipment described on each packing list with an deductible of €300 per contract. Where applicable, the hirer is required to provide all the necessary documentation to prove the facts.
This deductible will be covered, in any case, by the hirer.
This insurance is included in our rates as long as the equipment is used within the national territory.
ACLAM is the absolute owner of all rented equipment and facilities. It is not permitted to lend them, assign ownership by way of security, sell them, transfer them, sublet them or any other act of disposal.
ACLAM declines any responsibility for accidents or damages that may be caused to third parties as a result of the use of the rented equipment or installations, whatever the causes.
ACLAM will try to replace any equipment that needs to be delivered and is not in perfect condition, and ACLAM is not responsible for any damages that this may cause to the customer.
5. CANCELLATION AND RESCHEDULING
Any rental request may be cancelled provided it is made at least 24 hours before the pick up date. Notification must be made in writing (by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org).
In the event that the hirer fails to comply with the notice period established above, they shall be required to pay up to 50% of the contracted value as compensation for cancellation or rescheduling. In the event that the renter has paid a deposit, the renter expressly authorizes the lessor to deduct the compensation for cancellation or rescheduling.
